Terms of service
These terms govern every order placed on alvania.co.uk. By completing an order you agree to them. They do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
1. Who you are contracting with
Your contract is with ALVANIA LIMITED, a private limited company registered in Scotland under number SC878205, with its registered office at Office 288, 18 Young Street, Unit LGE, Edinburgh, EH2 4JB, United Kingdom.
2. Placing an order
Adding items to your bag is not an order. Your order is placed when you complete payment, and a contract forms only when we send you a dispatch confirmation. Until then we may decline the order — for example if an item is out of stock, mispriced, or we cannot deliver to your address.
If we decline an order after payment, we refund in full to the original payment method.
Pricing errors
If a price is obviously wrong and you could reasonably have recognised it as an error, we are not obliged to supply at that price. We will contact you before doing anything.
3. Prices, tax and payment
Prices are shown in pounds sterling. Delivery is added at checkout and shown before you pay.
Payment is taken by Stripe. We do not receive or store your card details. We accept the cards and wallets shown at checkout.
Orders shipped to EU addresses may attract import duties and local VAT on arrival. Where these are not collected at checkout, they are payable by you to the carrier or customs authority.
4. Delivery
Delivery timescales, costs and destinations are set out on our delivery page, which forms part of these terms. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery.
5. Cancellation, returns and refunds
Your right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, and our own returns policy, are set out on our returns page, which forms part of these terms.
6. Faulty or misdescribed goods
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 goods must be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality. If they are not:
- within 30 days of delivery you may reject them for a full refund;
- after 30 days and within six months you may ask for a repair or replacement, and a refund if that fails.

7. Product information
We describe weights, dimensions and materials as accurately as we can. Manufacturing tolerances mean small variations are normal, and screen colours vary between devices. Product images are illustrative.
8. Use of the site
You may not use this site fraudulently, attempt to interfere with it, or extract its content for commercial use without our written permission. All site content, branding and imagery remains our property or that of our licensors.
9. Our liability
We do not exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Subject to that, our liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it. We are not liable for losses that were not foreseeable when the contract was formed. Sport carries inherent risk; our equipment is sold for recreational use and you are responsible for playing within your ability.
10. Events outside our control
We are not liable for delays caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including carrier disruption, customs delays, extreme weather and supply failures. We will tell you as soon as we can and offer a refund if the delay is substantial.
11. Complaints and disputes
Email hello@alvania.co.uk. We aim to respond within two working days and to resolve complaints within fourteen days.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of Scotland, and disputes fall to the Scottish courts. If you live elsewhere in the UK or in the EU, you keep the benefit of any mandatory consumer protections of your own country.
13. Changes
We may update these terms. The version that applies to your order is the one published when you placed it.
